Holy Basil @ Canley Vale

A long time friend Tony Inthavong, who back in the days painted our cars when we were still tinkering with our automobiles, opened a fairly new Thai restaurant in Canley Vale.  He’s been always asking us to come and drop by but never got the time.. until tonight.  It’s been getting good reviews in the Daily Telegraph’s Taste section every Tuesday.  We finally decided to come and try.  We’re used to the regular Thai restaurant, but Holy Basil combines Laotian style with the familiar Thai taste.  The service was good, just a few hiccups with their kitchen ticketing system but they quickly fixed the problem and apologized for the delay of the serving of the food.  The taste was great, abit on the spicy side but bearable.

We think we can place Holy Basil as one of the better Thai/Lao restaurants in western Sydney.
