Changing Lanes Festival to Exhibit at aMBUSH

The very first Changing Lanes Festival saw the streets of Newtown spring to life with people travelling from all corners of Sydney to dive head first into the artistic, musical and creative output of our city. Sydney’s street art culture was celebrated through the creation of a panelled mural, completed by local street artists Max Berry, SMC[3], EARS, Gem Lark and Vars. The live painting was a sight to behold, as the work gradually unfolded before the two thousand strong crowds in Eliza Street.

On Thursday the 4th of November MAPS Entertainment will present a final exhibition of the Changing Lanes panelled mural at aMBUSH Gallery. Members of the public will be able to bid on the panels in a silent auction, with all proceeds going to FBi Radio. Additional works from artists Max Berry, SMC[3], EARS, Gem Lark, Vars, HOUL, Syke, Chad Drake, Skel, Tulsi, Bennett and Sprinkles will also be exhibited and available for purchase. The exhibition will be sponsored by Carlton and include performances by FBi Radio DJs.

Danae Goiser, from MAPS Entertainment said, “The artistic energy which poured into Changing Lanes was astounding, and each individual visual element of the event was carefully created by our own local artists. Changing Lanes would not have been the same without them.”
