Ambush Gallery Presents: Love is Here – 35 Aussie Artists & Live Acoustic Set by Sietta

The often spoken phrase on the lips of all; from lovers, family members, friends and strangers, I love you takes on a new dimension – moving from the verbal expression to the visual manifestation. The Love is Here Project marks the creative and personal response to the hallmark phrase ‘I love you’ by 35 Australian shortlisted artists, as a demonstration of the many facets, meanings and context associated with the words.  Prints of the artworks will be displayed, and a mural following the theme of the exhibition in the gallery space on show. The exhibition itself will be immortalised in a limited edition, A-5, 25 page black-and-white collection to take home, with individual removable pages to ‘pay forward’ to those special in your life.

Artists involved include Daniel Angley (SA/VIC), Rachel Baker (VIC), Ben & Jodi Churchward (QLD/TAS), Rach Burke (VIC), Tal Fitzpatrick (QLD), Erin Forsyth (NSW), Alice Kenny (ACT/VIC), Fee Harding (QLD), Jennifer Ho (VIC), and more.

Running in tandem, will be the Travelling Hearts Project by Rozetta Payne, an Australian-based artist featured in Frankie who hand-makes and sends little loving hearts to people all around Australia and the world to spread the love and even donates some of the proceeds to charitable organisations. A live acoustic set will be played by Sietta – the recently featured artist on Triple J to set atmosphere for the exhibition.

The Love is Here Book itself can be bought on the night for $20.00 or pre-ordered via email with ‘preorder’ in the subject line (
